Most Used Bio Energy
Systems In The World
Renewable Energy Technologies
“Renewable energy technologies” is an umbrella term that stands for energy production using a renewable energy source like solar, wind, water (hydro and tidal), biomass (biofuels and wastes), and geothermal heat.
Hydropower technologies
Hydropower is an extremely flexible electricity generation technology. Hydro reservoirs provide built-in energy storage that enables a quick response to electricity demand fluctuations across the grid, optimization of electricity production and compensation for power losses from other sources.
Wind technologies
A wind turbine turns wind energy into electricity using the aerodynamic force from the rotor blades, which work like an airplane wing or helicopter rotor blade. When wind flows across the blade, the air pressure on one side of the blade decreases.
Geothermal technologies
Geothermal comes from the Greek words geo (Earth) and therme (heat). Geothermal technology harnesses the Earth’s heat. Just a few feet below the surface, the Earth maintains a near-constant temperature, in contrast to the summer and winter extremes of the ambient air above ground.
Solar technologies
There are three primary technologies by which solar energy is harnessed: photovoltaics (PV), which directly convert light to electricity; concentrating solar power (CSP), which uses heat from the sun (thermal energy) to drive utility-scale, electric turbines; and solar heating and cooling (SHC) systems, which collect thermal energy to provide hot water and air heating or conditioning.
